What is Saridon N and what is it used for?

Saridon N contains ibuprofen, as active
ingredient, in the form of ibuprofen sodium dihydrate
which relieves the pain, reduces the fever and has an
anti-inflammatory effect. Usually its effect comes out
within half an hour and lasts approximately six hours.

Saridon N is suitable for short term treatment (3 days maximum) of the following symptoms:
– Headache
– Dysmenorrhea
– Joint and ligaments pain
– Back pains
– Toothaches
– Pain of wound injuries
– Fevers occurring with flu.

When Saridon N forte 400 should not be used?
– Allergy to ibuprofen (the active ingredient), to other
anti-inflammatory medicines, to pain killers or to antipyretics.
Allergic manifestations are as follow: asthma, respiratory troubles, and circulatory troubles,
swelling of the skin and of the mucus membranes or skin eruption (urticaria).
– During pregnancy or lactation
– In gastric or duodenal ulcer or in gastric or intestinal bleeding.
– In inflammatory bowel diseases like Crohn’s disease or hemorrhagic recto-colitis.
– In severe cardiac, hepatic or renal diseases.
– In children less than 12 years. The use of Saridon N has not yet been studied for this age group.

What are the precautions to be observed while taking Saridon N?
Unless prescribed by your physician, Saridon N should not be taken in the following cases:
– Gastric or duodenal ulcer.
– Renal or liver troubles.
– Cardiac diseases particularly cardiac insufficiency or hypertension
– If you are treated with anti-coagulants or if you suffer from blood coagulation disorders.
– Bronchial asthma.
– If you are treated with anti-inflammatory drugs or with pain killers.
– If you take anti-diabetics (other than insulin), or
drugs that increase urinary output (diuretics), or
drugs that treat infections (quinolones antibiotics)
or any other drug containing any of the following substances:
lithium, digoxin, methotrexate, baclofen, phenytoin, probenecid or sulfinpyrazone.
Kindly notify your doctor or your pharmacist if you
suffer from another disease or from allergy or if you take other drugs for internal or external use (even if
self prescribed). Saridon N can affect your reflexes, your driving ability and your ability to use tools or machinery.

Saridon N: could it be used during pregnancy or lactation?
Saridon N should not be used during pregnancy or lactation unless formally prescribed by the
physician.
Important: Saridon N should not be taken during the last trimester of pregnancy.
